Shelly Pro 3EM-120A V2 DIN-Rail Energy Meter for EcoFlow STREAM 5000

  • Measure grid import and export to support energy management with a compatible EcoFlow STREAM 5000 or STREAM AC 5000 system.
  • Monitor single-phase or three-phase installations using three included 120A current-transformer clamps.
  • View live electrical readings and stored energy data through Ethernet or Wi-Fi, with no separate Shelly hub required.

Shelly Pro 3EM-120A V2 energy meter for EcoFlow STREAM 5000

The Shelly Pro 3EM-120A V2 is a DIN-rail energy meter for monitoring electricity consumption and generation in homes and suitable commercial premises. Shelly identifies the V2 as model SPEM-003CEBEU, an identifier listed by EcoFlow for STREAM 5000 and STREAM AC 5000. When correctly installed and paired, it supplies the grid-exchange measurements used by the EcoFlow system’s energy-management functions.

Key features

  • EcoFlow-compatible model identification: SPEM-003CEBEU appears in EcoFlow’s STREAM 5000 compatibility list. Confirm the supplied unit and supported firmware before commissioning.
  • Flexible measurement: monitor a single-phase supply, a three-phase supply or three selected circuits on the same phase, using the appropriate wiring and configuration.
  • Detailed electrical readings: measure voltage, current, active and apparent power, power factor and accumulated energy, with Class B active-energy accuracy stated by Shelly.
  • Local data and networking: Ethernet, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, an embedded web interface and at least 45 days of one-minute records according to the detailed manufacturer specification.
  • Automation options: scripting, webhooks and MQTT support, plus Matter support after the required firmware update.

Where to use

Use the Shelly Pro 3EM-120A V2 for whole-home monitoring, compatible EcoFlow STREAM installations, offices, retail premises, agricultural buildings and selected commercial distribution-board applications. It measures the circuits where its CT clamps are installed; it does not automatically identify every individual appliance.

For EcoFlow integration, the installer must position the sensors and configure the meter to measure the correct grid connection point. A typical single-phase UK home does not need a three-phase supply to use this meter.

This device measures energy and has no built-in load-switching relay. Controlling a larger load requires the optional Shelly Pro 3EM Switch Add-on and a suitably rated external contactor, specified separately. It is not a circuit breaker or a replacement for electrical protective devices.

Installation and EcoFlow compatibility

A qualified electrician must install the meter, CT clamps, voltage-reference wiring and suitable protective devices in an appropriate enclosure. Energian can help with product selection and installation through trusted partners.

Confirm model SPEM-003CEBEU on the supplied V2 device and check the current EcoFlow app and firmware requirements. EcoFlow also lists SPEM-003CEBEU120; compatibility must not be assumed for the 400A or 3CT63 variants.

Do not assume that this meter duplicates every function of EcoFlow’s Smart Meter Dual CT. In particular, EcoFlow’s Dual CT circuit-protection features must not be attributed to the Shelly meter without confirmation.
