Pramac GA 20000 3-Phase Natural Gas and LPG Backup Generator
The Pramac GA 20000 is a three-phase 400V standby generator for automatic backup-power applications. It can operate on either mains natural gas or LPG, making it suitable for commercial premises, farms, larger homes, workshops and sites where a properly specified fuel supply is available.
The generator delivers 17,000VA standby power on natural gas and 20,000VA standby power on LPG. It is designed for emergency power during utility outages and has no overload capability at its standby rating. A compatible load transfer switch is required for automatic mains-to-generator changeover.
Key features
- Dual-fuel operation: runs on mains natural gas or LPG, allowing the fuel choice to be matched to site infrastructure.
- Three-phase standby output: 400V, 50Hz, three-phase output for suitable commercial and larger-property backup loads.
- Automatic backup capability: compatible with Pramac LTS load transfer switch accessories for managed changeover between mains and generator supply.
- True Power electrical technology: stated total harmonic distortion of less than 5% for compatibility with electronic equipment.
- Remote monitoring: Wi-Fi communications and free Mobile Link Wi-Fi remote monitoring through the app are listed as standard.
Where to use
The Pramac GA 20000 is suited to fixed standby installations at offices, workshops, agricultural sites, retail premises, telecoms locations, larger homes and other three-phase properties. It can support selected or whole-site loads only where the load profile, incoming supply and changeover design have been properly assessed.
It is particularly suitable where a reliable natural-gas connection is present or where an appropriately sized LPG installation is preferred. The fuel pipework must be sized for full-load operation and maintain the required inlet pressure throughout the generator’s operating range.
This generator is not an out-of-the-box installation. A competent generator, electrical and Gas Safe installation team should specify the fuel supply, concrete or composite base, cable sizing, earthing arrangement, load-transfer switch, exhaust clearances and commissioning requirements.
