Pramac E5000 4.6kW Portable Petrol Generator

The Pramac E5000 is a portable, open-frame petrol generator for supplying power where mains electricity is unavailable or impractical. It provides 230V and 115V single-phase output at 50Hz, making it suitable for compatible site tools, lighting, equipment, mobile services and temporary standby duties.

The generator is powered by a Honda GX270 recoil-start, air-cooled petrol engine. Its continuous power rating is 3.9kW, while the 4.6kW emergency standby rating is intended for variable-load standby use. Always select the generator using the continuous rating and allow for motor-starting current.

Key features

  • 3.9kW continuous power: rated COP output for suitable continuous loads when maintained in accordance with Pramac requirements.
  • 4.6kW standby capacity: 5.1kVA / 4.6kW ESP rating for variable-load emergency standby applications.
  • Honda petrol engine: GX270, 270cc, naturally aspirated, air-cooled engine with mechanical speed governor.
  • Dual-voltage outlet configuration: 230V and 115V CEE outlets with a 115V/230V selector switch.
  • Basic generator protection: thermal protection and Oil Guard low-oil protection are fitted as standard.

Where to use

The Pramac E5000 4.6kW portable petrol generator is suitable for construction and maintenance work, mobile trade teams, agricultural use, outdoor events, temporary lighting, small pumps and compatible 230V or 115V equipment. The 115V outlets can be useful for site equipment designed for reduced-voltage operation.

At 75% load, the stated fuel consumption is 1.64 litres per hour, giving an approximate running time of 3.23 hours from the 5.3-litre tank. Runtime will vary according to connected load, ambient conditions and maintenance condition.

Never operate the generator indoors, in enclosed spaces or where exhaust gases can enter occupied areas. A fixed connection to a building, distribution board, battery charger or inverter system requires suitably rated changeover equipment and installation by a competent electrician. Energian can help with generator sizing and trusted installation-partner support.
