Overview of the Solarport Modular 2-in-Portrait kit

This Solarport Modular 2-in-Portrait Ground Mount Kit is configured for 2 rows by 4 columns of modules in portrait, giving a tidy, repeatable layout for commercial and industrial users who want a dependable ground-mounted array. It is based on Solarport’s stock Modular 2-in-portrait ground mount system, designed for both commercial and domestic-scale projects and compatible with multiple foundation options, so it can be adapted to different soil types and site constraints. Typical applications include logistics yards, depots, light industrial sites and off-grid compounds where roof space is limited or unsuitable for PV.

Main features

  • 2-in-portrait panel configuration, suitable for a wide range of module sizes between 1650 mm and 2470 mm in length when used within the manufacturer’s guidance.
  • Modular bay design (2 or 3 panels wide) makes it straightforward to build up arrays, including a 2 x 4 layout, while keeping component variations low.
  • Available system tilt angles of 20°, 25° or 30°, with defined minimum clearances and maximum heights to help with planning and shading checks.
  • Compatible with other multiple foundation options such as C Pile, V Pile, Concreted Pile, Ballasted, Spirafix, Direct Fix and Ground Screw, allowing use on many site types within design limits.
  • Designed in accordance with BS EN 1991-1-4:2005 + A1:2010, BS EN 1090 and BS EN 1991 Parts 1, 3 and 7, with material specifications based on structural steels and galvanised coatings for durability.
