Why choose the KS 3000G?

  • Choice of fuel: run the generator on petrol or LPG and switch between fuels by following the manual's shutdown and fuel-isolation procedure.
  • Direct LPG starting: the manufacturer states that the generator can start and operate on LPG without petrol in the tank.
  • Compact useful output: 2.6kW rated and 3.0kW maximum output at 230V for compatible household, workshop and mobile loads.
  • Stable regulated output: AVR helps stabilise voltage as the connected load changes.
  • Clear operating information: the LED display shows voltage, frequency and accumulated operating hours.
  • Durable construction: copper alternator winding, a steel fuel tank, reinforced frame and anti-vibration mounts support dependable operation.
  • Supplied LPG connection kit: includes a 1.5m hose, an external cylinder-mounted reducer and a built-in reducer.

Power, fuel and connections

Plan your load

Use the 2.6kW rated output for load planning and allow for motor starting currents. Stay within the rating of each socket, plug and cable.

For prolonged loads, the manufacturer recommends no more than 80% of rated power — approximately 2.08kW.

Petrol and LPG

Use unleaded petrol rated 90–95 octane with no more than 10% ethanol, or a compatible LPG cylinder. Never use petrol and LPG at the same time.

This model is intended for LPG cylinders, not connection to a fixed gas line. Confirm the supplied connection is compatible with your cylinder before use.

Sockets and DC output

Two UK 13A household sockets provide 230V AC output. The total connected load must remain within the generator's overall rating.

The 12V / 8.3A DC outlet is intended for battery charging. Follow the manual's polarity and current instructions.

What's included

  • KS 3000G dual-fuel generator
  • 1.5m LPG cylinder connection hose
  • External cylinder-mounted pressure reducer
  • Built-in gas pressure reducer
  • Operating instructions
  • Spark-plug wrench

Engine oil, petrol, an LPG cylinder, appliance leads and any cylinder adapter required for your setup are supplied separately.

Before first use

Add the recommended engine oil before starting. The generator is supplied without oil or petrol. Check the oil level, fill with suitable unleaded petrol or connect a compatible LPG cylinder, and connect the protective earth as described in the manual.

During the first 20 operating hours, keep connected loads below 50% of rated output, then change the engine oil and inspect the air filter, fuel filter and spark plug.

Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual's clearance, fuel-isolation, electrical protection, refuelling and maintenance requirements. IP23M does not make the generator suitable for operation in rain.

Frequently asked questions

Can it start directly on LPG?

Yes. The manufacturer states that the KS 3000G can start and run directly on LPG without adding petrol first. Follow the manual's LPG connection and starting procedure.

Does it produce different power on LPG?

The current official specification lists 2.6kW rated and 3.0kW maximum output but does not publish a separate LPG output figure for this model. Allow suitable load margin for the fuel and equipment you intend to use.

Is an LPG cylinder included?

No. The LPG hose and pressure reducers are included, but the cylinder is supplied separately. Confirm cylinder and connection compatibility before use.

Can it connect to a fixed gas line?

No. The manufacturer states that this model is not suitable for connection to a gas line; it is intended for use with a compatible LPG cylinder.

Is engine oil included?

No. Add suitable SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 four-stroke engine oil before the first start and check the level before each use.
