Description

The Excel Power XL15000V is a high-output, single-phase open-frame petrol generator for agriculture, worksites, mobile businesses and properly specified standby-power systems. It provides 12,000W rated output and up to 13,000W maximum output, giving substantial capacity for larger appliances, equipment, lighting and professional tools.

Its 744cc twin-cylinder Euro V petrol engine, 45L fuel tank and automatic voltage regulation (AVR) are designed for extended, dependable operation. The heavy-duty tubular frame, wheels and fold-out handles make it easier to position on site, although its 194.5kg dry weight means mechanical assistance may be appropriate for lifting or loading.

Important: petrol generators produce carbon monoxide. Never use this generator indoors, in garages, sheds, vehicles or any enclosed or partially enclosed area. Position it outdoors in a well-ventilated location, away from doors, windows and air intakes.

Power and Installation

The XL15000V is a conventional AVR-controlled generator, not an inverter generator. AVR helps regulate output voltage, but customers powering equipment with particularly sensitive supply requirements should check the appliance manufacturer’s requirements before connection.

Where connecting a generator to a building, a correctly rated changeover or transfer switch, suitable protection and installation by a competent electrician are required. Never connect a generator directly to a socket outlet in a property.

Warranty

Private use: 3-year or 500-hour limited warranty, whichever occurs first. Register the generator within 30 days of purchase to qualify for the extended warranty. The first year includes parts, return-to-base labour and return carriage; years two and three are parts-only cover. If it is not registered within 30 days, the standard one-year warranty applies.

Commercial use: 12 months or 250 hours, whichever occurs first. This includes parts, return-to-base labour and return carriage, subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

The warranty excludes, among other things, normal wear, inadequate maintenance, contaminated or stale fuel, overloading, water damage, unapproved repairs and consumable or wear items. AVR units are specifically excluded from warranty cover. Portable generators used as rental equipment or as primary power in place of the utility supply are not covered. Your statutory rights are not affected.
