ValkSolarFix is Van der Valk Solar Systems’ mechanical roof anchoring console for ValkPro+ flat roof and ValkPitched roof mounting systems. It is not a complete mounting system; instead, it provides a low‑profile aluminium base with an M10 hanger bolt that fixes through the roof covering and insulation into the deck below using tested methods for timber, steel, concrete or aerated concrete roofs.

Key features

• No ballast required at the anchor — the mechanical fixing eliminates additional dead load on the structure while providing storm‑resistant restraint.
• Large base footprint distributes pressure over the membrane and insulation, with free water flow and airflow beneath the panels for heat regulation.
• Completely watertight fixing using an EPDM sealing ring at the hanger bolt plus a heat‑welded bitumen or PVC rosette installed by a qualified roofer.
• Multiple fixing options for timber, steel, concrete and aerated concrete decks, plus toggle anchors for deep insulation or hard‑to‑reach decks.
• Compatible with ValkPro+ roof carrier, Side++ perimeter anchoring profiles and C+ profiles, allowing mechanical anchoring exactly where the design requires it.

Typical applications

Use ValkSolarFix wherever a ballasted flat roof PV system needs mechanical restraint: tall commercial buildings, exposed coastal sites, logistics hubs and roofs with limited load‑bearing capacity. It is also suitable for pitched warm roofs and green roofs via dedicated variants and accessories, when used with the appropriate Van der Valk mounting system above.

How the ValkSolarFix mounting kit works

The core console (article 747600) is a low‑profile aluminium base plate, 20 mm high, with a central stainless‑steel M10 hanger bolt that protrudes upward for clamping the rail or roof carrier. The console is fixed through the roof membrane and insulation into the structural deck using stainless steel screws, toggle anchors or concrete anchors, selected according to deck type and total roof build‑up height.

Once fixed, the ValkPro+ roof carrier, Side++ profile or C+ profile is clamped to the hanger bolt with the mounting set (747604 or 747607), which includes M10 bolt, nuts, body rings and EPDM sealing ring, with tightening torque between 8–14 N·m for the console connection and 15 N·m for Side++ profile connections.

• Suitable for buildings up to 25 m height; higher buildings on request with project calculation in ValkPVplanner.
