Solis S6-EH1P5K-L-PLUS 5.0kW Single Phase Low Voltage Hybrid Inverter
The Solis S6 5kW Plus Single Phase Low Voltage Hybrid Inverter is designed for residential and light commercial solar energy storage systems. It combines solar generation, battery storage, grid connection, backup power and generator input in one flexible inverter, helping improve self-consumption and keep essential loads powered during grid outages.
This model works with low-voltage 40-60V battery systems, including compatible lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries. It is suitable for new solar installations and for upgrading suitable existing grid-tied PV systems where battery storage, backup power and export control are required.

Overview
The Solis S6-EH1P5K-L-PLUS is part of the Solis Solarator Series and is built for flexible hybrid solar installations. It can prioritise solar power for household loads, charge a low-voltage battery, export surplus energy where permitted, provide backup output during grid failure and work with a generator where required.
With two MPPT trackers, 16A PV input current per tracker and a 500V maximum PV input voltage, the inverter is suitable for modern residential solar arrays using higher-current PV modules. The inverter also supports AC coupling, making it useful for upgrading suitable existing PV systems with battery storage and backup functionality.
The unit includes a dedicated backup output, grid connection, generator input, CT/meter connection, battery communication, remote monitoring and built-in protection functions. Installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with Solis instructions and local electrical regulations.
Operating Modes
- Self-use mode: PV power is used by the load first, then charges the battery, with any remaining surplus exported to the grid where export is enabled.
- Selling first mode: PV power is used by the load first, then exported to the grid. If the export power limit has been reached, surplus PV power can charge the battery.
- Off-grid mode: PV power is used by the load first and then charges the battery. This mode is intended for areas not covered by the grid or systems not connected to the grid.
- Backup operation: When a power outage is detected, the system can automatically enter off-grid operation and supply the backup load.
Battery Compatibility
The Solis S6 5kW Plus works with low-voltage battery systems within the 40-60V battery voltage range. It supports Li-ion and lead-acid battery types, with CAN and RS485 communication available for compatible battery systems. Compatible batteries include Pylontech US3000C and 5000C and the Dyness Powerbox range.
