Commercial and industrial storage
The SolarEdge CSS–OD C&I Energy Storage System combines one or two 102.4 kWh outdoor battery cabinet (CSS‑OU‑20) with a 50 kW AC‑coupled battery inverter (PCS050) to form a turnkey storage solution for commercial and industrial sites. It is designed to integrate with SolarEdge PV systems, helping businesses reduce grid consumption, manage demand peaks and increase resilience during grid disturbances or outages (with the appropriate SolarEdge Commercial Backup Interface where required).
Key features
- AC‑coupled commercial storage: connects to an AC‑coupled SolarEdge PV system, with up to two battery cabinets per inverter and system‑level scaling towards 1 MWh.
- Optimised energy management: powered by the SolarEdge ONE optimisation platform to manage energy production, storage and consumption, supporting self‑consumption and, via future firmware updates, peak shaving and tariff optimisation.
- Microgrid‑ready architecture: supports selected microgrid applications when used with the separate SolarEdge Commercial Backup Interface, including fast switchover to backup power.
- High safety and resilience: LFP chemistry, dual‑cluster cabinet topology, integrated fire detection and double fire suppression, plus earth‑fault, leakage‑fault and surge protection.
