Photonic Universe 200W Black Semi-Flexible Solar Panel with Rear Junction Box

A lightweight 200W black monocrystalline solar panel for permanent outdoor installations on lightweight buildings, balconies, fences, motorhomes, campervans, caravans, boats and off-grid systems. Fibreglass reinforcement and a textured ETFE surface combine durability with a semi-flexible design, while the rear circular junction box and 3m dual-core cable keep connections out of sight.

Where to Use

Designed for charging 12V batteries through a compatible solar charge controller in motorhomes, caravans, campervans, boats, solar lighting and off-grid or backup solar systems. It can also supply suitable DC motors or pumps that tolerate variations in input voltage and current, or be incorporated into a grid-tied system with a compatible inverter and appropriate system design.

Installation & Handling

• Flush mounting requires a recess: an appropriately sized hole or recess must be cut into the mounting surface to accommodate the rear junction box. Check the technical drawings and ensure the cable entry is fully waterproof.
• Use a suitable outdoor adhesive: the manufacturer's manual recommends adhesive for rear-junction-box panels rather than double-sided mounting tape. Apply a continuous sealing ring around the junction box as instructed.
• Permanent rigid support is required: keep the panel flat during handling and bend it only as needed for permanent mounting. Do not repeatedly flex it or suspend it unsupported. Observe the FLAX minimum recommended bending radius of 1000mm.
• Mechanical fixing: screws, bolts or rivets may be used in accordance with the handling and installation manual, with correctly positioned and sealed fixing holes.
• Secure the rear cable: provide frequent fixing points and strain relief beneath the mounting surface, particularly on vehicles and boats. The cable must not hang from or pull on the junction box.
• Battery charging: use a correctly rated solar charge controller. Do not connect this panel directly to a 12V battery. Check the panel label and connected equipment ratings before system design.
• Black finish: the panel is not ultra jet-black; the exact hue may vary slightly between solar-cell batches.
