Why choose the KS 10000E-1/3?
- Full output in either voltage mode: the VTS system provides 7.5kW rated and 8.0kW maximum output at either 230V single phase or 400V three phase.
- Single generator for two supply types: select the required voltage mode instead of maintaining separate single-phase and three-phase generators.
- AVR voltage control: the automatic voltage regulator helps maintain stable output as connected loads change.
- Manual and electric starting: start with the recoil handle or ignition key.
- Industrial connections: one 32A Commando (CEE) outlet at 230V and one 16A Commando (CEE) outlet at 400V.
- Clear operating information: the LED display shows voltage, frequency and operating hours.
- Durable construction: a copper-wound synchronous alternator, reinforced steel frame and anti-vibration dampers support reliable operation.
Power, phases and connections
Plan your load
Use the 7.5kW rated output, allow for starting loads and remain within the selected outlet, cable and circuit-breaker limits.
For prolonged loads, the manufacturer recommends no more than 80% of rated power: approximately 6.0kW.
Choose the correct VTS mode
Select 230V single phase or 400V three phase for the equipment being powered. Follow the manual before operating the phase switch or connecting loads.
This is an AVR generator rather than an inverter generator. Check equipment requirements before connection.
Balance three-phase loads
In 400V mode, distribute the load across all three phases. Each phase must remain within one-third of the generator's total output.
The manual states that phase imbalance must not exceed 20%; loading only one or two phases can damage the generator.

Runtime varies with load, fuel quality, weather, altitude and equipment condition. Sound pressure at a stated distance and sound power are different measurements and should not be compared directly.
What's included
- KS 10000E-1/3 petrol generator
- English operating instructions
- Spark-plug wrench
- Ignition keys for electric starting
Engine oil, petrol, appliance leads and optional transport accessories are supplied separately.
Before first use
Add the recommended engine oil before starting. Read the owner's manual, check the oil level and follow the commissioning instructions. Use unleaded petrol as specified in the manual.
Select the correct 230V or 400V operating mode for the equipment being powered and use appropriately rated Commando connections and distribution equipment. In 400V mode, distribute the load evenly across all three phases as described in the manual.
During the first 20 operating hours, do not connect loads exceeding 50% of rated output. Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours and follow the maintenance schedule in the manual.
Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual's clearance, earthing, electrical protection, refuelling and maintenance requirements. IP23M does not make the generator suitable for operation in rain.

Warranty
Manufacturer's warranty: 1 year or 1,000 operating hours, whichever comes first, from the date of purchase.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects, subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions. Eligible faults may be repaired or the product replaced. Retain your proof of purchase and any completed warranty documentation supplied with the generator.
For help with a warranty claim, contact Energian with your order number, generator serial number and a description of the fault.
Frequently asked questions
Does it provide the same power at 230V and 400V?
Yes. The VTS system provides 7.5kW rated output and 8.0kW maximum output in either voltage mode. Only use the outlet for the selected mode and remain within its current rating.
Does it have a standard UK household socket?
No. It has a 32A 230V Commando (CEE) socket and a 16A 400V Commando (CEE) socket. Use suitably rated connections and distribution equipment.
Can I connect a single-phase load while using 400V mode?
The manual requires the load in 400V mode to be distributed across all three phases, with no phase exceeding one-third of the total output and no more than 20% imbalance. Use 230V mode for single-phase equipment.
Is the KS 10000E-1/3 an inverter generator?
No. It uses an automatic voltage regulator (AVR). Check the requirements of the equipment you plan to connect.
Does it start automatically during a power cut?
No. This model has manual recoil and electric key starting but is not an automatic-start ATS model.
How long does it run on a full tank?
The current official UK product page states approximately 15 hours at 50% load. Actual runtime varies with load, fuel quality, weather, altitude and generator condition.
