Why choose the KS 7000E 1/3?

  • Two voltage modes: the VTS system switches between 230V single-phase and 400V three-phase operation without reducing the model's stated rated or maximum output.
  • Manual and electric start: use the key-operated electric starter or the recoil starter.
  • AVR regulation: the automatic voltage regulator helps maintain a stable conventional generator output as the load changes.
  • Useful monitoring: the LED display shows voltage, frequency and operating hours for load monitoring and maintenance planning.
  • Long petrol runtime: the 25-litre steel tank provides approximately 17 hours at 50% load under the manufacturer's stated conditions.
  • Heavy-duty connections: dedicated 230V 32A and 400V 16A Commando (CEE) outlets match the selected voltage mode.
  • Optional mobility: the separately available KS 7 KIT adds two wheels, two support legs, mounting hardware and two handles.

Power, fuel and connections

Select one voltage mode

Use the VTS switch to select either 230V single phase or 400V three phase. The outlets are not intended to supply both voltage modes simultaneously.

Balance three-phase loads

In 400V mode, distribute the load evenly across all three phases. The manufacturer limits each phase to one-third of total power and specifies a maximum 20% imbalance.

Plan your load

Use the 5.0kW rated output and allow for starting surges. For longer service life, the manufacturer recommends continuous loads no higher than 80% of rated output: 4.0kW.

Runtime varies with load, fuel quality, weather, altitude and generator condition. In 400V mode, phase loading must be balanced as described in the owner's manual. Sound pressure at a stated distance and sound power are different measurements and should not be compared directly.

What's included

  • KS 7000E 1/3 petrol generator
  • English operating instructions
  • Spark-plug wrench
  • Starter keys for the electric-start system

Engine oil, petrol, appliance leads and the optional KS 7 KIT transport set are supplied separately.

Before first use

Add engine oil and petrol before starting. The generator is supplied without either. Fill and check the 1.1-litre crankcase using SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 four-stroke oil, then add unleaded petrol rated 90-95 octane with no more than 10% ethanol.

Charge the starter battery and connect the generator to a suitable earth as instructed. The manual advises charging the battery before commissioning or allowing the generator to run for at least one hour at 50% load on its first start. Keep connected loads below 50% of rated output during the first 20 operating hours, then change the oil.

Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual's voltage-mode, phase-balancing, clearance, refuelling, electrical protection and maintenance instructions.

Warranty

Manufacturer's warranty: 1 year or 1,000 operating hours, whichever comes first, from the date of purchase.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects, subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions. Retain your proof of purchase and any completed warranty documentation supplied with the generator. For help with a warranty claim, contact Energian with your order number, generator serial number and a description of the fault.

Frequently asked questions

Does it provide the same power at 230V and 400V?

Yes. The manufacturer's current specification gives 5.0kW rated and 5.5kW maximum output in either selected VTS mode.

Can the 230V and 400V sockets be used at the same time?

No. Select the required voltage mode using the VTS switch and use the matching outlet.

How should loads be connected in 400V mode?

Loads must be distributed evenly across all three phases. Each phase must not exceed one-third of the total generator power, and the manufacturer permits no more than 20% phase imbalance.

Is it an inverter generator?

No. It is a conventional synchronous generator with AVR voltage regulation. If equipment specifically requires pure sine-wave inverter output, contact Energian for a suitable model.

Are wheels and handles included?

No. The optional KS 7 KIT is sold separately and includes two wheels, two support legs, mounting hardware and two handles.
