Why choose the KS 9300DE-1/3 ATSR?

  • Single- or three-phase supply: the VTS selector lets you choose 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase operation with high output available in either mode.
  • Ready for automatic backup: a 6-pin connector supports automatic starting and stopping when the generator is paired with a compatible external ATS unit.
  • Stable voltage: the intelligent AVR system helps maintain output voltage for compatible equipment.
  • Enclosed Heavy Duty design: the soundproof anti-vandal enclosure helps reduce operating noise and protects internal components from accidental contact.
  • Cold-start support: pre-start heating helps the diesel engine start more easily in low temperatures.
  • Clear monitoring: the LED display shows voltage, frequency and accumulated operating hours.
  • Easier positioning: four wheels and two handles help move the 168kg generator on suitable level surfaces.

Power, phase selection and standby use

Plan your continuous load

Use the rated output, not the short-term maximum, and allow for motor starting currents.

For prolonged operation, the manufacturer recommends no more than 80% of rated power: 4.8kW at 230V or 5.6kW at 400V.

Select one voltage mode

The 230V and 400V output circuits are not intended for simultaneous use. Stop and isolate the generator before changing the VTS selector.

In three-phase mode, distribute loads evenly; phase imbalance must not exceed 20%.

Professional ATS installation

Automatic mains-failure operation requires a compatible external ATS unit and suitable changeover, earthing and circuit protection.

Have fixed wiring designed and installed by a qualified electrician.

What's included

  • KS 9300DE-1/3 ATSR diesel generator
  • 230V 32A Commando (CEE) plug
  • 400V 16A Commando (CEE) plug
  • Starting key
  • 8 × 10mm, 12 × 14mm and 17 × 19mm spanners
  • 6mm / PH2 screwdriver
  • Owner's manual

Engine oil, diesel fuel, appliance leads, earthing equipment and any external ATS equipment are supplied separately.

Before first use

Add the recommended engine oil before starting. Read the owner's manual, connect and charge the starter battery as instructed, add suitable fresh diesel fuel and check that the VTS selector is in the required 230V or 400V position before connecting equipment.

Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual's clearance, earthing, electrical protection, refuelling and maintenance requirements. IP23M does not make the generator suitable for operation in rain.

Warranty

Manufacturer's warranty: 1 year or 1,000 operating hours, whichever comes first, from the date of purchase.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects, subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions. Eligible faults may be repaired or the product replaced. Retain your proof of purchase and any completed warranty documentation supplied with the generator.

For help with a warranty claim, contact Energian with your order number, generator serial number and a description of the fault.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the 230V and 400V outputs at the same time?

No. Select the required voltage mode using the VTS control and use only that output circuit. Stop and isolate the generator before changing modes.

Can it start automatically during a power cut?

Yes, when installed with compatible external ATS equipment. Fixed standby wiring and changeover protection must be designed and installed by a qualified electrician.

Is the stated maximum output suitable for continuous use?

No. Plan continuous loads around the rated output and allow extra capacity for starting currents. For prolonged operation, the manufacturer recommends no more than 80% of rated power.

Can I operate it in the rain?

No. The enclosure reduces noise and helps protect internal parts, but the IP23M rating does not make the generator weatherproof. Operate it outdoors in a dry, well-ventilated location that complies with the manual.
