The Iconica MAX 8000W 48V Hybrid Inverter combines the functions of an 8000W pure sine wave inverter, 120A MPPT solar charge controller with two independent inputs, and a powerful 120A battery charger in one portable unit. It can accept input from solar panels, mains power/generator, and batteries — either individually or in combination. In addition to its hybrid functionality, the inverter includes advanced communication features and a wide range of configurable settings.
A key feature of this model is its ability to power AC appliances directly from solar panels, without requiring a connected battery.
This inverter is well-suited for off-grid applications where grid access is limited or unavailable. With its built-in Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) function, it is also ideal for areas with unreliable or intermittent power. It is suitable for both permanent and mobile setups such as remote properties, holiday homes, cabins, narrowboats, and yachts, or for users looking to reduce grid electricity usage or create a backup system during power cuts.

1. 8000W 48V Pure Sine Wave Inverter:
Converts DC power to 230V AC to run appliances such as TVs, laptops, fridges, microwaves, lighting, and more. Delivers 8000VA continuous output with 16000VA peak for starting appliances with electric motors (e.g., pumps, power tools). Pure sine wave output ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices.
2. 8000W MPPT Solar Charge Controller:
Includes two independent inputs, each accepting up to 4000W of solar power. The 120A MPPT controller regulates charging with protections against overcharge, overheating, and reverse current. Operates with up to 98% efficiency. The LCD screen displays real-time solar performance data.
3. 120A Smart Battery Charger:
Provides safe and efficient unattended charging from mains or generator, with full overcharge protection and multiple charging stages.
4. Parallel and Three-Phase Capability:
Can be connected in parallel with up to five identical units, supporting systems up to 48kW. Parallel systems may be configured for three-phase output, ideal for industrial or commercial use.

AC Load Without Battery:
Able to power AC loads directly from solar panels without a battery bank. If a battery is connected, solar input can be split between powering loads and charging. -

Users can set the order of power sources (solar, battery, mains/generator) for AC output under various scenarios (e.g., insufficient solar input, low battery voltage, or grid outage). -
Battery Charging Priority:

Customisable RGB Light Bar:
LED strip on the front can be configured to display charge level or input source status in user-defined colours. -
Advanced Communication:
Includes PC connection cable and software for monitoring and exporting data (PDF/Excel). Optional Wi-Fi modules allow remote access via app or web portal, with features like email alerts and system monitoring. -
Auto Restart:
Automatically restarts after overload or over-temperature shutdown once safe conditions return. -
Generator Auto Start:
Can trigger a generator to start automatically via dry contacts when battery voltage falls below a set level. -
Intelligent Cooling:
Uses variable-speed fans based on performance and internal temperature, with up to three fans operating simultaneously to maintain safe temperatures.
Battery Compatibility
Supports 48V flooded, sealed GEL/AGM lead-acid (such as Rolls), and lithium batteries with pre-set charging profiles (such as Pylontech). A user-defined battery setting is also available for compatibility with other battery types (consult your battery supplier for lithium settings).
