Brief description

The Fox ESS CQ7 98.28kWh HV Battery Storage System is a stackable high‑voltage lithium iron phosphate battery solution for commercial and industrial applications. It uses modular CQ7‑80 battery blocks with a nominal 7.02kWh capacity each, configured here as a CQ7‑80‑L14 system (one master plus 13 slave modules) for 98.28kWh of storage at 806.4V nominal.

The system offers high round‑trip efficiency, wide operating temperature ranges, and simple plug‑and‑play installation with CAN‑based communication to Fox ESS inverters and BMS.

Key features

  • 98.28kWh usable storage, expandable – CQ7‑80‑L14 system of one master and 13 slave modules delivering 98.28kWh at 806.4V nominal.
  • High‑voltage LFP design – Lithium iron phosphate cells with 90% depth of discharge (system‑level) and 100% DOD for CQ7‑80(w) variants, enabling high usable capacity and long cycle life.
  • Robust operating envelope – Wide charge and discharge temperature ranges, optional warm‑up function for low‑temperature operation, and natural convection cooling for reliability.
  • Modular plug‑and‑play installation – Stackable master and slave modules with integrated DC and communication links, IP65 ingress protection and stand‑mount mechanical design.
  • Certified safety and EMC – IEC 62619, IEC 61000‑6‑1/2/3/4 and UN38.3 tested, with integrated fire protection and class I protective class for demanding sites.

Where to use this system

The Fox ESS CQ7 98.28kWh HV Battery Storage System is suited to medium‑scale commercial and industrial storage projects where a compact, modular high‑voltage battery cabinet is required. Typical use cases include peak‑shaving and bill reduction for small factories and warehouses, behind‑the‑meter storage for commercial PV systems, and backup for critical plant or IT loads when paired with compatible Fox ESS hybrid or AC‑coupled inverters.

Because CQ7 is a high‑voltage system, installation, commissioning and integration must be carried out by qualified electricians familiar with Fox ESS equipment and local standards. Energian can help with system sizing and introduce trusted UK partners to design and install complete Fox ESS CQ7 projects.
