EnviroGuard PVC Coated Solar Mesh Bird Deterrent – 30m Roll with 100 Black Clips

  • Creates a physical barrier to help prevent pigeons and other birds accessing the space beneath rooftop solar panels.
  • Includes a 30 m roll of black PVC-coated galvanised mesh and 100 black 30 mm fixing clips.
  • Non-drilling fixing method for compatible solar panel frames, with mesh that can be cut and shaped around the array.

PVC-coated solar mesh bird deterrent for rooftop arrays

This PVC Coated Solar Mesh Bird Deterrent pack screens the gap between solar panels and the roof to restrict bird access and nesting. The 200 mm wide mesh roll can be cut and shaped around the array perimeter, while the supplied black 30 mm clips secure it to compatible panel frames without drilling through the frame or roof covering.

Key features

  • Physical bird exclusion: closes access routes beneath panels rather than relying on noise or visual deterrents.
  • Black PVC-coated mesh: galvanised welded steel wire with a black PVC coating for additional protection and a discreet finish.
  • Practical mesh dimensions: 30 m roll length, 200 mm width and 25 x 12.5 mm openings.
  • 100 black fixing clips: supplied 30 mm clips must match the panel frame depth; check compatibility before ordering.
  • Maintenance access: the Speed Clip fixing method can be reversed to remove mesh sections for cleaning or servicing.

Where to use

Suitable for compatible solar PV arrays on pitched domestic and commercial roofs, including homes, offices, workshops and agricultural buildings. Check the frame depth, roof profile and panel-to-roof gap before selecting the mesh and fixing arrangement.

Measure the complete array perimeter and allow an additional 1–2 m of mesh for joints and corners. The installation guide specifies Speed Clips every 200 mm and recommends 5–6 clips per metre for planning. Additional clips may therefore be required: do not spread the supplied 100 clips across a full 30 m run.

This pack uses 30 mm frame-depth clips, not the adjustable return-lip clips described in the general specification sheet. Follow the Solar Speed Clip instructions and confirm that the supplied clips suit your panels.

Arrange safe rooftop access and assess existing bird activity before fitting. Any nest clearance must comply with applicable wildlife legislation. Energian can help check component suitability and arrange installation through trusted partners where professional fitting is required.
