EnviroGuard PVC Coated Solar Mesh Bird Deterrent Kit 30m
- Creates a physical barrier to help prevent pigeons and other birds roosting and nesting beneath rooftop solar panels.
- Includes a 30 m black mesh roll, 60 adjustable retaining clips, 20 stainless steel corner ties and a wire cutter.
- Fits compatible panel frames without drilling through the solar panels or roof covering, with removable clips for servicing.
PVC-coated solar mesh bird deterrent kit for rooftop arrays
The EnviroGuard PVC Coated Solar Mesh Bird Deterrent Kit 30m screens the gap beneath rooftop solar panels to restrict bird access. Its black PVC-coated galvanised steel mesh can be cut and shaped around the array perimeter, helping reduce nesting-related fouling and maintenance around domestic and commercial solar installations.
Key features
- Physical bird exclusion: screens access beneath the array rather than relying on visual or noise deterrents.
- Black PVC-coated mesh: hot-dipped galvanised welded steel mesh with an additional PVC coating and a discreet black finish.
- Adjustable, removable clips: locking washers and hand-tightened retaining nuts secure the mesh and allow removal for maintenance.
- Practical installation kit: supplied with 60 clips, 20 stainless steel corner ties and a standard wire cutter.
- Non-penetrating installation: attaches to a compatible frame return lip without drilling through the panel or roof covering.
Where to use
Use around suitable solar PV arrays on pitched residential and commercial roofs, including homes, offices, workshops and agricultural buildings. Check that the 200 mm mesh width suits the panel-to-roof gap and roof profile.
For the adjustable clip arrangement covered by the specification sheet, the panel frame must have a minimum 20 mm return lip on its underside. Verify the frame profile before ordering; this kit is not the frame-depth Speed Clip version.
Measure the complete array perimeter and allow an additional 1–2 m of mesh for joints and corners. The 30 m roll length is not guaranteed finished perimeter coverage. Check clip quantities against the specified spacing and final layout; additional clips may be required.
Rooftop fitting requires safe access and suitable working-at-height arrangements. Existing nests must be assessed and any clearance carried out in accordance with applicable wildlife legislation. Energian can help with suitability checks and arrange installation through trusted partners where professional fitting is required.

The documents cover several mesh and clip variants. Use the Premium Adjustable mesh clip instructions for this kit, not the Solar Speed Clip method. The general specification sheet’s wire diameter describes standard galvanised mesh; it is not presented here as a verified finished diameter for this PVC-coated roll.
