EnviroGuard PVC Coated Mesh Bird Deterrent - 30m Roll 200 Black Clips & 20 SS Corner Ties

PVC Coated Mesh Bird Deterrent – 30m Roll, 200 Black Clips & 20 SS Corner Ties

  • Creates a physical barrier to help prevent pigeons and other birds accessing and nesting beneath rooftop solar panels.
  • Includes a 30 m black PVC-coated mesh roll, 200 black 30 mm fixing clips and 20 stainless steel corner ties.
  • Clip-on fixing for compatible panel frames, without drilling through the solar panels or roof covering.

PVC-coated mesh bird deterrent for rooftop solar panels

The EnviroGuard PVC Coated Mesh Bird Deterrent pack screens the gap between rooftop solar panels and the roof to restrict bird access. Its 200 mm wide black mesh can be cut and shaped around the array perimeter, while the supplied clips and stainless steel ties secure straight sections, joints and corners.

Key features

  • Physical bird exclusion: screens access beneath the array rather than relying on visual or noise deterrents.
  • PVC-coated galvanised mesh: welded steel wire with a black PVC coating for additional protection and a discreet finish.
  • 200 black fixing clips: supplied 30 mm clips fit compatible panel frames; check frame depth and profile before ordering.
  • Stainless steel jointing ties: 20 self-locking ties help secure straight mesh joints and internal or external corners.
  • Non-drilling installation: clips attach to the panel frame, and the Speed Clip method can be reversed for maintenance access.

Where to use

Suitable for compatible solar PV arrays on pitched domestic and commercial roofs, including homes, offices, workshops and agricultural buildings. Check that the mesh width suits the panel-to-roof gap and that the 30 mm clips match the panel frame.

Measure the complete array perimeter and allow an additional 1–2 m of mesh for joints and corners. The 30 m roll length is not guaranteed finished perimeter coverage. Follow the frame-depth clip installation method rather than the adjustable return-lip clip instructions.

Rooftop fitting requires safe access and suitable working-at-height arrangements. Assess existing bird activity before starting, and ensure any nest clearance complies with applicable wildlife legislation. Energian can help check compatibility and arrange installation through trusted partners where professional fitting is required.

Documents available for download

These documents cover several variants. The general specification sheet describes standard galvanised mesh and adjustable return-lip clips; its 18-gauge wire specification, 20 mm return-lip requirement and 450 mm clip spacing must not be substituted for this pack’s mesh and frame-depth clip specifications.
