EcoFlow PowerOcean 2 8kW three-phase hybrid inverter

The EcoFlow PowerOcean 2 8kW Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter is designed for compatible three-phase homes and light-commercial properties with solar PV and high-voltage battery storage. It manages energy between the solar array, PowerOcean battery, site loads and the electricity grid to support solar self-consumption and battery-led energy management.

The inverter supports up to 12kW of PV input through two MPPT trackers, making it suitable for arrays on two roof orientations or two separate solar strings. It can be paired with EcoFlow PowerOcean LFP battery storage, with a stated maximum battery capacity of 45.9kWh.

Where to use the EcoFlow PowerOcean 2 8kW inverter

The EcoFlow PowerOcean 2 8kW three-phase hybrid inverter is suitable for compatible homes and small commercial premises with a 230/400V, three-phase supply. Typical applications include larger homes, farmhouses, workshops, small businesses and properties with greater electrical demand from EV charging, heat pumps or multiple electrical loads.

It can be specified for new solar-and-battery systems or as part of an upgrade where the existing PV array, supply arrangement and battery design are compatible. The two MPPT inputs are useful where solar modules are installed on different roof aspects, such as east/west or south/east.

This is not a plug-and-play product. A competent installer must confirm the PV string design, three-phase supply arrangement, battery compatibility, smart-meter connection, backup-load requirements, protective equipment and G98/G99 grid-connection process.
