A flexible 5kW solar and battery inverter
The EcoFlow PowerOcean 5kW Single-Phase Hybrid Inverter is designed for homes adding solar battery storage to a single-phase supply. It manages energy from solar PV, compatible PowerOcean LFP batteries, household loads and the grid, helping to increase use of on-site solar generation.
With two MPPT trackers and up to 11kW of maximum PV input, the inverter can suit solar arrays across two roof aspects or two separately configured strings. The supplied smart meter provides the system with the grid measurement required for energy monitoring and control.

Where to use the EcoFlow PowerOcean 5kW inverter
The EcoFlow PowerOcean 5kW hybrid inverter is suitable for compatible single-phase homes with solar PV, battery storage or both. It can be specified for self-consumption systems, solar-and-battery retrofits and installations that require supported backup-load operation.
It can be a practical choice for properties with solar generation split across two roof orientations, such as east/west or south/east arrays. Backup operation requires an appropriate system design, including compatible battery storage and correctly specified backup circuits.
This inverter must be installed and commissioned by a competent installer. Grid connection arrangements, G98/G99 requirements, solar string design, battery compatibility, metering and protective devices must be confirmed for the individual installation.
