The Könner & Söhnen KS 9200HDES-1/3 ATSR is a sound-insulated Heavy Duty diesel generator with selectable 230V single-phase and 400V three-phase output. It provides 6.0kW rated power in 230V mode or 7.0kW rated power in 400V mode, with electric starting, AVR voltage regulation, pre-start heating and an ATS connection for compatible automatic backup installations. Its enclosed four-wheel design helps reduce operating noise and makes positioning easier.

Power, fuel and connections
Plan your load
Size equipment against the rated output and allow for motor starting loads. For service life, the manual recommends continuous loads of no more than 80% of rated power: 4.8kW at 230V or 5.6kW at 400V.
Select one voltage mode
Use the VTS switch to select 230V single phase or 400V three phase. Do not energise both AC circuit breakers at the same time. In 400V mode, distribute the load across all three phases; the manual limits phase imbalance to 20%.
ATS installation
The generator has an ATS output for a compatible automatic transfer system. Mains backup equipment and changeover wiring must be selected and installed by a qualified electrician.

Engine oil, diesel fuel, ATS equipment, appliance leads and an external battery charger are supplied separately.
Before first use
Add the recommended engine oil before starting. Read the owner's manual, check the oil level, connect and charge the starter battery as instructed, add suitable seasonal automotive diesel and complete the specified pre-start checks.
Any connection to a building supply, ATS system or three-phase distribution must be designed and completed by a qualified electrician.

Manufacturer's warranty: 1 year or 1,000 operating hours, whichever comes first, from the date of purchase.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects, subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions. Eligible faults may be repaired or the product replaced. Retain your proof of purchase and any completed warranty documentation supplied with the generator.

Frequently asked questions
Can it supply 230V and 400V at the same time?
No. The VTS switch selects either 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase operation. Do not energise both AC circuit breakers at the same time.
How much continuous power is available?
The rated output is 6.0kW at 230V or 7.0kW at 400V. Allow for starting loads and the manual's recommendation that continuous loads do not exceed 80% of rated power.
Can it start automatically during a power cut?
It has an ATS output for compatible automatic transfer equipment. The complete backup system must be selected and installed by a qualified electrician.
Does the enclosure make it weatherproof?
No. The enclosure reduces noise and helps protect the generator, but the unit must be kept dry and must not be operated in rain.
Does it have a recoil starter?
No. This sound-insulated model uses electric starting and includes a pre-start heating function.
