Acrel ADL400N-CT Three-Phase Energy Meter
- DIN-rail three-phase energy meter for low-voltage systems using current transformers.
- Measures imported and exported active and reactive energy, plus voltage, current, power, power factor, frequency and harmonics.
- RS485 Modbus RTU communications for integration with compatible energy-management, monitoring and building-control systems.
Acrel ADL400N-CT three-phase energy monitoring
The Acrel ADL400N-CT is a three-phase energy meter for low-voltage electrical systems with current-transformer measurement. It is suitable for monitoring energy consumption and energy flow in commercial buildings, workshops, distribution boards, solar PV installations, battery-storage systems and other three-phase electrical installations.
The meter provides measurements for positive and negative kWh and kvarh, individual phase energy, voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor and frequency. It also measures harmonics from the 2nd to the 31st order and communicates through RS485 using Modbus RTU.
Key features
- Three-phase energy measurement with CT-connected current inputs.
- Class 0.5S active-energy accuracy and Class 2 reactive-energy accuracy.
- Measures positive and negative kWh and kvarh, including A, B and C phase positive kWh.
- 12-digit LCD display, three-key programming, infrared communications and RS485 Modbus RTU.
- DIN 35mm rail mounting for panel and distribution-board installations.
Where to use the Acrel ADL400N-CT energy meter
The Acrel ADL400N-CT three-phase energy meter is suited to monitoring incoming supply, sub-distribution circuits, solar PV output, inverter AC connections, battery-storage systems, generator circuits and larger three-phase loads. It can be used where current transformers are required because the circuit current exceeds the direct-meter connection limit or because a CT-based monitoring arrangement is preferred.
It supports three-phase four-wire and three-phase three-wire wiring arrangements, using direct connection or current transformers as shown in the manufacturer wiring diagrams. CT ratio selection, phase orientation, protection and communications wiring must be designed for the specific installation.
This meter should be installed by a competent electrician or controls engineer. Energian can provide UK expert support for monitoring-system selection, Modbus integration and compatible solar, battery or energy-management systems.
