Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can 1000A Battery Monitor (M10)

  • Combines a 1000A battery shunt, positive and negative DC busbars, and a location for the main system fuse in one Lynx module.
  • Shows battery state of charge, current, power, time remaining, temperature and alarm status through a compatible Victron GX device.
  • M10 busbars for integration into modular Victron Lynx DC distribution systems.

Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can battery monitoring and DC distribution

The Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can is a 1000A DC busbar module with an integrated battery monitor and holder for the main system fuse. It is designed for larger 12V, 24V and 48V Victron installations where a central, structured approach to DC distribution, fusing and battery monitoring is required.

Connect it to a compatible GX device, such as Cerbo GX, by VE.Can to view system data locally and remotely through the Victron VRM portal. The Lynx Shunt VE.Can is not a BMS: it monitors the battery bank and its main fuse, while the connected GX device provides configuration and data display.

Key features

  • 1000A continuous DC rating: Suitable for high-current inverter, charger and battery-bank systems within its 12V, 24V or 48V operating range.
  • Integrated battery monitoring: Measures battery voltage, current, power, state of charge, amp-hours consumed and estimated time remaining.
  • Main-fuse provision: Includes a position for the system main fuse; the fuse is purchased separately and must be selected for the installation.
  • GX and VRM integration: VE.Can communication sends operational data, alarms and history to a connected GX device and, where configured, the VRM portal.
  • Programmable alarm relay: Can respond to battery state of charge, voltage, temperature or a blown main fuse through GX-device configuration.

Where to use

Use the Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can in high-current solar, off-grid, marine, mobile, backup-power and commercial DC systems built around the Victron Lynx Distribution System. Typical configurations combine it with Lynx Power In, Lynx Distributor and a Cerbo GX or other compatible GX device.

Install the battery bank on the Lynx system’s battery side and connect all DC loads and charging sources on the system side so the shunt can calculate battery state of charge correctly. This is a specialist DC-distribution product; use a qualified installer or one of Energian’s trusted partners to design fusing, cable sizes, busbar connections and commissioning.
