HIGH EFFICIENCY 60A MPPT SOLAR CHARGE CONTROLLER FOR SOLAR PANELS UP TO 750W (12V) / 1500W (24V) / 3000W (48V) UP TO 150V
Photonic Unvierse Tracer 60A MPPT Solar Charge Controller
This 60A MPPT solar charge controller is designed to improve solar charging efficiency in 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V battery systems. It uses advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to dynamically track the maximum power voltage point of the solar panels, helping the system make better use of available sunlight.
Compared with standard PWM controllers, MPPT technology offers a wider solar input voltage range and allows multiple solar panels to be connected with a maximum solar panel voltage of 150V. Depending on battery voltage, the controller supports maximum solar panel power of 750W at 12V, 1500W at 24V and 3000W at 48V.
Main Benefits
- MPPT technology for more efficient charging
- Full system protection
- Lithium battery charging, along with lead-acid, gel and AGM batteries
Key Features
Advanced MPPT Charging
The controller uses advanced MPPT technology to help maintain high charging efficiency, even when sunlight conditions change. It is suitable for solar systems where reliable battery charging and efficient use of solar input are important.
Comprehensive System Protection
The controller includes electronic protection functions to help safeguard the solar system. These include reverse current prevention, over-charging and deep discharge prevention, and protection against solar panel overvoltage, overload, short circuit and reverse polarity.
Built-in self-diagnostic capability helps identify and report system errors using fault-targeting technology.
Lithium Battery Charging
The controller is compatible with lithium batteries. Charging parameters can be set up through PC software, allowing the controller to be configured for lithium battery charging as well as lead-acid, gel and AGM battery types.
System Monitoring and Control
- The controller automatically recognises 12/24/36/48V battery systems. A battery should always be connected to the controller first before connecting a solar panel.
- Built-in LCD screen shows real-time charging parameters such as voltage, current, battery state of charge, accumulated charge and discharge energy.
- Easy-to-use buttons allow the user to manually select the battery type: sealed, flooded or gel.
- Removable front panel provides access to a replaceable fuse in the terminals compartment.
- Dry contact load terminals allow the load output to be switched on and off.
- Dry contacts are provided for starting a generator when the battery is low.
- Current limiting function (60A) allows the possibility of adding more solar panels to your solar system in the future.
- Parallel connection capability: the controller can connect to up to 5 additional identical controllers in parallel to expand the system using the parallel charging adapter (RS485 cables required).
Connectivity Options
The controller supports remote monitoring and parameter adjustment using optional accessories:
- Remote Meter MT50: monitor system performance and manually adjust parameters and load settings using the LCD screen.
- Wi-Fi Module: create a Wi-Fi network for mobile connectivity, monitoring and adjustment via a free mobile app, including lithium battery charging parameter setup. The connection will require an RJ45 to RJ45 extension cable, sold separately.
- RJ45 to USB Cable: connect to a PC or laptop for monitoring and adjustment using the free Solar Station Monitor computer program. This is for Windows-based PCs/laptops only. It can be used to customise battery parameters and settings, including lithium battery charging.
These options give access to system information, diagnostics and settings, helping users monitor and adjust the solar charging system.
Temperature Management
The controller has a built-in temperature sensor and intelligent heat-dissipating design to support efficient charging. A socket is also provided for connecting a remote temperature sensor, allowing more accurate battery temperature measurement. The inbuilt temperature sensor is not enabled for lithium batteries.
