ICONICA IC-ZTR5000-48 5000W 48V Rack-Mounted Pure Sine Wave Inverter

The ICONICA IC-ZTR5000-48 5000W 48V inverter combines a 5000W pure sine wave inverter, 80A MPPT solar charge controller and a 60A smart mains / generator charger into a single compact rack-mounted unit. It accepts power from solar panels, mains or generator, and a 48V battery bank, either individually or in combination.

What sets this model apart is its true zero transfer time (0ms). When mains power fails, the inverter switches instantly to battery operation with no interruption, making it suitable for sensitive loads such as IT equipment, servers, networking hardware, and control systems.

This inverter is designed for off-grid and backup power applications where reliability matters. It is equally suited to fixed installations such as workshops, remote properties, cabins and holiday homes, as well as mobile or marine systems including narrowboats and yachts. It can also be used to reduce grid dependence and protect against frequent power cuts.

Key functions:

1. 5000W 48V Pure Sine Wave Inverter: Converts DC battery power into stable 230V AC electricity for running everyday appliances such as fridges, lighting, TVs, computers and power tools. Provides 5000W continuous output with 10,000VA surge capacity for starting motor-driven loads like pumps, compressors and workshop equipment. The pure sine wave output ensures broad appliance compatibility and reliable operation.

2. Inbuilt 4000W MPPT Solar Charge Controller (80A): The high-efficiency MPPT controller regulates energy from the solar array to charge the batteries or supply loads directly, operating at up to 98% efficiency. The system supports a maximum PV input of 4000W with an MPPT operating range of 60–115V DC, making it suitable for multi-panel series strings.

3. 60A Smart Mains / Generator Charger: Allows unattended battery charging from grid power or a generator at up to 60A. Multiple charging stages and built-in protections ensure safe operation and long battery life.

4. Zero-Transfer UPS Function: Provides instant 0ms switching from mains to battery mode during power failure. Unlike standard inverters with 15–20ms transfer times, this model keeps critical loads running continuously without reboot or dropout, which is especially important for IT and communications equipment.

5. Parallel & 3-Phase Capability: Multiple identical units can be connected in parallel (up to 8 additional inverters) to build systems of up to 45kW total output. Once paralleled, the system can also be configured for three-phase operation. A parallel connection kit is required for each inverter (sold separately).

6. Inbuilt Bluetooth Monitoring: Integrated Bluetooth allows local monitoring via the WatchPower mobile app (Android). Users can view live system data including PV power, battery voltage, AC input/output, charging current and load status.

The IC-ZTR5000-48 includes a wide range of configurable control and monitoring functions:

- Output source priority: User-selectable priority between solar, battery and mains / generator for powering AC loads under different operating conditions.

- Battery charging priority: Flexible charging logic allows battery charging from solar only, solar plus mains, or mains only.

- Highly configurable system settings: Adjustable parameters include battery type, charging currents, voltage thresholds, AC input range, restart behaviour, overload handling, equalisation settings and power-saving modes.

- Removable illuminated LCD display: Displays system status, voltages, frequency, load percentage, and charge / discharge currents. The display can be relocated up to 20m from the inverter using a standard RJ45 cable (not included).

- Advanced communications: Supplied with PC connection cable and WatchPower software for detailed monitoring, data logging, and export to PDF or Excel. Optional Wi-Fi monitoring kits allow remote access, alerts and status notifications.

- USB On-the-Go function: Supplied with a USB drive to upload/download system data.

- Generator auto-start: Supports generator control via dry contacts when battery voltage drops below a defined threshold.

- Auto restart protection: Automatically disconnects loads during overload or over-temperature events and reconnects once safe conditions return.
