Fogstar Drift 668Ah Gen2 LiFePO4 Leisure Battery
The Fogstar Drift Gen2 12V 668Ah LiFePO4 leisure battery is built for large off‑grid systems that need reliable, long‑duration power from a single battery bank. With 8,550Wh of stored energy and a 300A maximum discharge, it can comfortably support sizeable inverters, refrigeration, tools and onboard systems in vehicles, boats and fixed installations as part of a correctly designed installation. EVE LF334 prismatic cells, integrated heating and a robust smart BMS make it a practical choice for mobile welfare units, marine house banks, off‑grid cabins and containerised power where uptime and predictability are key.
Key features of the Fogstar Drift 668Ah Gen2
- 12.8V, 668Ah (8,550Wh) LiFePO4 leisure battery using EVE LF334 Grade A prismatic cells for stable, large‑scale energy storage.
- 300A maximum discharge and 300A maximum charge capability, suitable for high‑load systems when paired with appropriately rated cables, protection and control gear.
- Smart BMS with over‑current, over‑discharge and temperature protection plus 2A active balancing to maintain cell alignment over the service life.
- Built‑in heating pads to enable charging down to low ambient temperatures, powered from the incoming charge current rather than the battery itself.
- Can be linked up to sixteen units in parallel or four in series (up to 48V) for large off‑grid, marine and industrial systems; professional installation is recommended for multi‑battery banks.
Ideal applications
This 668Ah Gen2 LiFePO4 leisure battery is well suited to high‑demand off‑grid systems in campervans, motorhomes and specialist vehicles where long runtime and large inverter loads are required. It is also appropriate for marine house banks on larger yachts and workboats, remote site cabins, welfare units, telecoms support and containerised or skid‑mounted power solutions. For complex systems with multiple batteries, mixed charging sources (solar, alternator, generator) and larger inverters, we recommend design, installation and commissioning through our trusted partners or your preferred qualified installer.

Battery series and parallel mode
- Our 12V models can be connected sixteen (16) in parallel OR four (4) in series - to a maximum of 48V.
Battery heating
- This battery has a built-in heater that heats the battery to 5°C to enable charging at low temperatures.
- The Drift heating pads are only activated when the battery is being charged, and are only powered by the incoming charge current, not the battery itself.
- If you put the battery on charge in cold temperatures, it will heat the battery first, and then allow current through to the battery when the temperature is safe enough to do so.
Charging
- Your battery should be charged using a lithium iron phosphate battery charger.
- Bulk Charge: 14.4V
- Float Charge: 13.5V
- Charging Current: up to 300A

Download the Fogstar Drift App
- As a Fogstar customer, you'll also get the use of our fantastic Fogstar Drift App.
- Our App has been custom built to connect directly with the BMS, allowing you to manage and maintain the health of the battery at all times.
- The Fogstar Drift app is free to download on both Android and iOS.
Active balancing
- All cells used in the Gen2 range are Grade A, factory-matched and balanced EVE prismatic cells. - supplied directly from the manufacturer.
- This ensures your battery begins life with optimal uniformity in capacity and internal resistance.
- The 2A active balancer is fully integrated within the BMS architecture, rather than implemented as an external module.
- It engages only when cell deviation exceeds the defined threshold of 0.015V, and operates with minimal power draw.
- The system maintains long-term voltage equilibrium across the pack without continuous current consumption, and without requiring any user intervention.
