Why choose the KS 10000E ATS?
- Built-in ATS: monitors the mains supply and, when installed and set up correctly, starts the generator during a power cut and stops it when mains power returns.
- High 230V output: delivers 7.5kW rated power and up to 8.0kW maximum power, with a maximum current of 34.78A.
- Three starting modes: recoil and electric starting for normal use, plus automatic starting in ATS mode.
- AVR voltage regulation: helps maintain stable conventional-generator output as the load changes.
- Long running time: the 25-litre steel fuel tank provides approximately 15 hours at 50% load under the manufacturer's test conditions.
- Clear monitoring: the LED display shows voltage, frequency and operating hours.
- Built for demanding use: a copper-wound alternator, reinforced steel frame and anti-vibration mounts support dependable operation.
Power, backup and connections
Plan your load
Use the 7.5kW rated output and allow for motor and compressor starting currents. For prolonged operation, the manufacturer recommends staying within 80% of rated power: 6.0kW.
Install ATS correctly
The automatic transfer equipment is built into the generator. Connection to the mains supply and property circuits must be designed and completed by a qualified electrician in line with the manual and applicable regulations.
Match the outlet
The UK 13A socket is limited by its socket rating. Use the 32A Commando outlet with correctly rated equipment when a higher current is required, and stay within the generator's total output.

What's included
- KS 10000E ATS petrol generator with built-in automatic transfer system
- Operating instructions
- Spark-plug wrench
- Keys for electric starting
Engine oil, petrol, appliance leads, ATS connection cabling and installation materials are supplied separately.
Before first use
Add the recommended engine oil before starting. The generator is supplied without fuel or engine oil. Check the oil level, add suitable unleaded petrol, charge the starter battery or run the generator for at least one hour at 50% load during commissioning, and follow the first-20-hours running-in guidance in the manual.
Have the ATS connection installed by a qualified electrician. The generator must never be connected directly to a building circuit without correct isolation and protective equipment. Follow the manufacturer's single-phase connection diagram and all applicable electrical requirements.
Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry, earth it as required and follow the manual's clearance, refuelling and maintenance instructions. IP23M does not make the generator suitable for operation in rain.

For help with a warranty claim, contact Energian with your order number, generator serial number and a description of the fault.
Frequently asked questions
Does the KS 10000E ATS start automatically during a power cut?
Yes. Its automatic transfer system is built in. In ATS mode it monitors the mains supply, starts the generator after a supply failure and stops it when mains power returns. Correct professional installation and setup are essential.
Is a separate ATS unit required?
No. The transfer equipment is built into this model. The correctly rated cabling, isolation and protective equipment required for your installation are not included.
Can I draw the full generator output from the 13A socket?
No. The UK household socket is limited to 13A. Use the 32A Commando outlet and suitably rated equipment for higher-current loads, without exceeding the generator's total rated output.
Is this an inverter generator?
No. It is a conventional petrol generator with AVR voltage regulation.
