Fox ESS PQ1 12.0kW Hybrid Inverter with EQ5000 Battery Storage
The Fox ESS All-in-One PQ1 12.0kW Hybrid Off-Grid Inverter & EQ5000 Battery Storage System is a modular energy-storage platform for sites requiring substantial solar-generation capacity, battery storage and managed backup power. It combines the PQ1-12.0 inverter, PV inputs, battery management and backup functions in a floor-mounted stackable arrangement.
The system is designed for single-phase applications and can be configured with two to six EQ5000 battery modules. Each battery module provides 4.92kWh nominal capacity, enabling a storage range from 9.84kWh to 29.52kWh. Final inverter, battery and backup configuration should be selected against the site’s energy demand, solar array and incoming electrical supply.

Where to use
This Fox ESS PQ1 12.0kW hybrid inverter and EQ5000 battery storage system is intended for larger homes with single-phase supplies, farms, offices, workshops, small industrial units and commercial premises. It can increase on-site use of solar generation and reduce reliance on imported electricity at periods of higher demand.
It is particularly useful where solar arrays cover several roof aspects or are divided between buildings, as the inverter provides four independent MPPTs. A correctly specified EPS arrangement can maintain selected essential circuits during a grid outage, but it is not intended to back up unrestricted whole-site loads without detailed design.
This is a professionally installed energy-storage system, not a plug-in product. A competent installer must assess the electrical supply, DNO requirements, PV-string voltages, battery capacity, protection devices, isolation points and EPS load arrangement.
