Why choose the KS 8100iE ATSR?

  • High-output inverter power: 8.0kW rated and 8.5kW maximum output with a pure sine wave suitable for compatible sensitive electronics.
  • Automatic backup ready: the 8-pin ATS output connects to the separately available KS ATS 4/25 Gasoline for automatic start, load transfer and shutdown during mains outages.
  • Electric starting: the 3-in-1 control combines the fuel valve, choke and electric start for straightforward operation.
  • Economy mode: reduces engine speed at lighter loads to help lower fuel consumption.
  • Useful monitoring: the LED display shows voltage, frequency and operating hours, with low-oil, overload and short-circuit protection.
  • Flexible connections: UK 13A and 32A CEE AC sockets, 12V / 8.3A DC output and two USB outlets.
  • Easier movement: integrated wheels and a folding handle help position the 68kg open-frame unit on suitable surfaces.

Power, fuel and connections

Plan your load

Use the 8.0kW rated output for load planning and allow for starting surges. For extended service life, the manufacturer recommends continuous loads no higher than 80% of rated power: 6.4kW.

Choose the correct outlet

The 13A household and 32A CEE outlets are both 230V. Match the appliance, plug, cable, protective device and total load to the intended socket.

ATS installation

The compatible KS ATS 4/25 Gasoline connects through the 8-pin ATS socket. Mains and changeover installation must be designed and completed by a suitably qualified electrician.

What's included

  • KS 8100iE ATSR petrol inverter generator with integrated wheels and folding transport handle
  • Screwdriver
  • Spark-plug wrench

Engine oil, petrol, appliance leads, the ATS unit and installation materials are supplied separately.

Before first use

Add the recommended engine oil before starting. The generator is transported without oil. Fill and check the 1.1-litre crankcase using SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 four-stroke oil, then add unleaded petrol rated 90-95 octane with no more than 10% ethanol.

Connect and charge the starter battery as instructed. The battery terminals are disconnected for storage. Observe correct polarity; the manual advises charging the battery before commissioning or allowing the generator to run for at least one hour at 50% load on its first start.

Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual's grounding, clearances, refuelling, electrical protection and maintenance instructions. IP23M does not make it suitable for operation in rain.

Frequently asked questions

Can it power sensitive electronics?

It produces a pure sine-wave 230V / 50Hz supply designed for compatible sensitive equipment. Check each appliance's running and starting requirements and stay within the generator and socket limits.

Can it start automatically during a power cut?

Yes, when connected to the separately available KS ATS 4/25 Gasoline through the generator's 8-pin ATS output. A suitably qualified electrician must design and install any mains-connected backup system.

Does it run on LPG?

No. The KS 8100iE ATSR is a petrol-only model.

How long will it run on a tank?

The manufacturer's current figure is approximately 7.1 hours at 50% load. Actual runtime varies with load, fuel, weather, altitude and equipment condition.

Can I use it in rain?

No. Operate it outdoors for ventilation, but protect it from rain, snow and moisture in accordance with the owner's manual.
