Why choose the KS 10000E?

  • High single-phase output: 7.5kW rated and 8.0kW maximum output at 230V for demanding compatible loads.
  • Two starting methods: use the key-operated electric starter, with recoil starting available as a backup.
  • Stable regulated output: the synchronous alternator uses AVR to stabilise voltage as the load changes.
  • Longer running: the 25-litre steel tank provides approximately 15 hours at 50% load under the manufacturer's stated test conditions.
  • Useful operating information: the LED display shows voltage, frequency and accumulated operating hours.
  • Durable construction: copper alternator winding, a reinforced steel frame and anti-vibration mounts support dependable operation and transport.
  • Built-in protection: a circuit breaker and low-oil monitoring help protect the generator during use.

Power, fuel and connections

Plan your load

Use the 7.5kW rated output for load planning and allow for motor starting currents. Stay within the rating of each socket, plug and cable.

For prolonged loads, the manufacturer recommends no more than 80% of rated power — 6.0kW.

Petrol and oil

Use unleaded petrol rated 90–95 octane with no more than 10% ethanol. Runtime varies with load, fuel quality, temperature, altitude and generator condition.

Engine oil and petrol are not supplied. Add the recommended four-stroke engine oil before starting.

Connections and backup use

The 12V / 8.3A DC outlet is intended for battery charging. Follow the manual's polarity and current instructions.

This standard KS 10000E does not have the built-in ATS controls or connectors fitted to the separate KS 10000E ATS model.

Runtime varies with load, fuel quality, weather, altitude and equipment condition. Sound pressure at a stated distance and sound power are different measurements and should not be compared directly. The current exact-model UK product page lists 72dB / 97dB; an older 2023 manual edition lists 71dB / 96dB.

Before first use

Add the recommended engine oil before starting. The generator is supplied without oil or petrol. Check the oil level, fill with suitable unleaded petrol and connect the protective earth as described in the manual.

For an electric-start model, check and charge the starter battery if necessary. During the first 20 operating hours, keep connected loads below 50% of rated output, then change the engine oil and inspect the air filter, fuel filter and spark plug.

Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual's clearance, electrical protection, refuelling and maintenance requirements. IP23M does not make the generator suitable for operation in rain.

Warranty

Manufacturer's warranty: 1 year or 1,000 operating hours, whichever comes first, from the date of purchase.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects, subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions. Eligible faults may be repaired or the product replaced. Retain your proof of purchase and any completed warranty documentation supplied with the generator.

For help with a warranty claim, contact Energian with your order number, generator serial number and a description of the fault.

Frequently asked questions

Does the KS 10000E have automatic transfer switch support?

No. This standard model has electric and recoil starting but does not have the built-in ATS controls and connectors shown for the separate KS 10000E ATS model.

How much power should I use continuously?

The rated output is 7.5kW. To support service life, the manufacturer recommends keeping prolonged loads within 80% of rated power, which is 6.0kW, while also respecting individual socket and cable limits.

Can it be connected to a home electrical system?

Any connection to fixed wiring, a changeover switch or a building supply must be designed and installed by a suitably qualified electrician. Never connect a generator directly to a wall socket or back-feed the grid.

Is engine oil included?

No. Add suitable SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 four-stroke engine oil before the first start and check the level before each use.
