Why choose the KS 3300i?

  • Pure sine wave inverter output: provides a stable 230V, 50Hz supply for compatible sensitive electronics as well as conventional appliances.
  • 3.0kW rated output: supports a useful mix of portable equipment while retaining a compact open-frame design.
  • Two UK household sockets: connect compatible 230V loads without a Commando adapter.
  • Economy Mode: reduces engine speed at lighter loads to help lower fuel use and noise.
  • Clear operating information: the LED display shows voltage, frequency and working hours, with separate oil, overload and voltage indicators.
  • Copper-wound alternator: designed to tolerate load changes and support long service life.
  • Built-in protection: includes overload protection, automatic low-oil shutdown and a reset function.
  • Portable construction: 25.5kg net weight, compact dimensions and vibration-isolating support feet.

Power, fuel and connections

Plan loads around rated power

Use 3.0kW as the continuous rating and allow for appliance starting surges. The manual advises keeping prolonged loads within 80% of rated output — approximately 2.4kW — to support service life.

Petrol setup

Use unleaded petrol with an octane rating of 90–95 and no more than 10% ethanol. Add suitable four-stroke engine oil before the first start.

Connections and limits

The control panel provides two UK 13A household sockets and a 12V/8.3A DC outlet. This model has no ATS input and no generator parallel socket.

Before first use

Add engine oil before starting. The generator is supplied without engine oil or petrol. The manufacturer recommends SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 four-stroke engine oil. Check the oil level before every use and follow the manual's starting procedure.

Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual's clearance, electrical protection, refuelling and maintenance requirements. IP23M does not make the generator suitable for operation in rain.

Frequently asked questions

Is the KS 3300i suitable for sensitive electronics?

It produces a pure sine wave output designed for compatible sensitive electronics. Check the equipment's running and starting requirements and allow a suitable power margin.

How much power should I use continuously?

The rated output is 3.0kW. For prolonged operation, the manual recommends keeping the load within 80% of rated power, approximately 2.4kW.

Can it start automatically during a power cut?

No. The KS 3300i has manual recoil starting and no ATS connection.

Can it be connected in parallel with another generator?

No. The KS 3300i control panel does not have a generator parallel socket.

Is engine oil included?

No. Add suitable SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 four-stroke engine oil before the first start and check the level before each use.
