30A 12V→12V Advanced DC-DC Battery Charger with 20A MPPT Solar Input
30A 12V→12V Advanced DC-DC Battery Charger with 20A MPPT Solar Input
The DC1212-3020 is an advanced dual-input DC-DC charger designed for vehicles, boats and off-grid systems requiring reliable charging from both alternator and solar sources. Delivering up to 30A from a 12V starter battery and a further 20A from its integrated MPPT solar controller, it provides efficient, intelligent charging for a wide range of battery types — including Lead Acid, AGM, Gel, LiFePO4, and Lithium-ion (NCM).
Compact and lightweight, this high-frequency charger uses buck-boost conversion to maintain consistent output even when supply voltage fluctuates. Its intelligent three-stage charging program automatically adjusts to the selected battery chemistry for safe, unattended operation. Whether fitted in a campervan, motorhome, commercial vehicle or boat, the DC1212-3020 ensures fast, complete and controlled charging every time.
Key Features
- Dual charging capability: charges from alternator or solar, switching automatically between inputs for maximum efficiency.
- Integrated 20A MPPT solar controller: extracts maximum power from solar panels (up to 250W, 50V Voc), with trickle charge to maintain the starter battery.
- Intelligent three-stage charging: optimised for Lead Acid, AGM, Gel, LiFePO4 and Lithium-ion (NCM) batteries, ensuring safe and complete charging.
- Temperature management: supports an optional external sensor for automatic voltage compensation (lead-acid) and low-temperature charge inhibit (lithium).
- Data monitoring: compatible with optional Bluetooth module or remote LCD meter for real-time charging data.
- Ignition or voltage sensing control: automatic start/stop charging with engine on/off via D+ terminal or voltage detection.
- Continued charging under load: maintains charge while 12V appliances remain in use; full protection against voltage fluctuation.
- Wake-up function for lithium BMS: automatically reactivates a battery that has entered protection mode.
- Relay signal output: allows battery banks to be linked under heavy load so the source battery can assist the target battery.
- Precision sense terminals: optional terminals for accurate voltage sensing and compensation for cable drop.
- LED indicators: display solar charging status, charging stage, and diagnostic information at a glance.
