For installations requiring the highest capacity in the Expedition range, the 250 Ah lead‑carbon GEL battery provides long‑duration power and the same fast‑charging, long‑cycle performance as smaller models. The battery uses activated carbon and graphene on the negative plate to combine lead‑acid chemistry with super‑capacitor behaviour, giving more than 1 500 cycles at 50 % depth of discharge.
Like the other Expedition Plus GEL batteries, it is completely sealed, maintenance‑free and resilient to partial state‑of‑charge use. It can re‑charge up to ten times faster than a conventional lead‑acid battery.
