Operating Modes

The Fox ESS AC Coupled 3.7kW AC1 Charger Inverter features four operational modes to suit varying needs:

  1. Self-use: Prioritizes battery discharge for local loads, with the grid supplying power when the battery capacity is insufficient.
  2. Feed in priority: In the presence of an external generator, generated power is used for local loads first, then exported to the grid. Redundant power charges the battery.
  3. Force time use: Ideal for areas with peak and off-peak pricing. Allows flexible setting of charging and discharging times, with the option to charge from the grid.
  4. Back-up (EPS) mode: Supplies emergency power from PV or a battery during grid outages.

The Fox ESS AC Coupled 3.7kW AC1 Charger Inverter seamlessly integrates with smart Agile tariffs, offering compatibility with Octopus Energy and other Economy 7 providers. It also works with an external backup generator in case of extended grid outages.
